In my paintings
I use pigments and acrylics on paper and with oils and pigments on canvases that I prepare in my studio. My paintings are abstract expressions of my feelings and memories inspired by the landscapes that surround me and the architecture of the farmhouses of my Basque homeland. The materials that I use and the rough and wrinkled surfaces of the canvases that I paints on give my work a special vitality which sets it apart from the homogenized world of modern manufactures.
