I was born in Bordeaux and spent my childhood and adolescence there and in the Basque Country. I learned to paint in Madrid during the 1980s in the studio of abstract painter Teresa Muñiz.
In 1991, I moved to Oxford, where I had my first solo exhibition. In 1998, I moved to Paris and in 2002 I returned to my homeland in the Basque Country, whose colours and landscape are the main inspiration of my work.
My main studio is in Saint Jean Pied de Port, and I regularly exhibit my work in the Basque Country, on both sides of the Pyrenees, and internationally.
